Check each product page for fitment and lift range.

Bigger tires and taller lifts put more load on factory steering. Upgrades usually go in this order: heavier tie rods and drag links, a better steering stabilizer, then a steering box brace, hydraulic assist or a high-steer setup on bigger builds. If your Jeep shakes after hitting bumps, see our death wobble fix parts.

Fitment: Jeep Wrangler JL, JK and TJ/LJ and Gladiator JT, plus selected Ford Bronco parts, from PSC, RockJock, Synergy, Teraflex, Apex Chassis and MetalCloak. Many steering parts are Rubicon or non-Rubicon specific, so check each product page.

FAQs

When do I need hydraulic assist?

Hydraulic assist helps when bigger, heavier tires make low-speed steering hard on the trail. Check the maker's tire size recommendation.

Are tie rod and drag link upgrades worth it?

Factory steering links can bend on rocks and wear faster with big tires. Heavier links stay straighter and keep toe consistent.

Do I need an alignment after steering work?

Yes. Changing tie rods or drag links changes toe and steering wheel centering.
