It almost always traces back to looseness somewhere in the front end, not to a single bad part. This collection groups the parts that usually get replaced when chasing it down on a Jeep Wrangler JL, Wrangler JK or Gladiator JT: front track bars, tie rods, drag links, ball joints, pitman arms and steering stabilizers, from brands like Steer Smarts, RockJock, Teraflex and Synergy.

Inspect before you buy. Check the track bar ends and mounts first, then ball joints, tie rod and drag link ends, and wheel bearings. Synergy Manufacturing's own death wobble checklist is built around the same parts: ball joints, track bars and their hardware, tie rods, drag links and stabilizers. On lifted Jeeps, Teraflex notes in its FAQ that taller lifts need control arms to correct caster, and that an adjustable track bar lets you re-center the axle.

Fitment: Jeep Wrangler JL (2018+), Wrangler JK (2007-2018) and Gladiator JT (2020+). Many parts are specific to Rubicon or non-Rubicon axles, so check each product page.

FAQs

Will a new steering stabilizer cure death wobble?

Usually not. A stabilizer only damps the shake. If a track bar, ball joint or tie rod end is worn, the wobble comes back, so fix the loose part first.

Which part should I check first?

The front track bar. Have a helper rock the steering wheel with the engine running while you watch both ends and mounts for movement.

Do I need an alignment after replacing these parts?

Yes. New steering links and track bars change toe and axle centering.
