SteerSmarts YETI XD Sector Shaft Brace with Frame Side Track Bar Bracket

The YETI XD Sector Shaft Brace With Frame Side Track Bar Reinforcement Bracket was engineered to bolt onto the stock track bar mount on the frame. The purpose of this piece is two-fold. First, the sector shaft support is meant to help minimize the aluminum and steel steering gears from flexing/deflecting/moving when cycling your steering system side to side.

The second benefit of the product is to reinforce the frame side track bar mounting location to help minimize any deflection of this bracket and ensure that the mount doesn't break under extreme stress.

Part #79041001 is compatible with 2018+ JL/JT models with STEEL STEERING BOXES. For 2018-20 JL/JT models with the ALUMINUM STEERING BOXES, choose part #79041002.

A: The sector shaft brace uses a heavy-duty bearing support to reduce lateral flex and side-load stress on the steering gearbox’s sector shaft, improving steering stability and reducing the risk of gearbox failure—especially when running oversized tires or high-load steering components.

A: While not a cure-all, this brace helps eliminate flex and movement in two major sources of front-end instability, making it an excellent preventative upgrade when chasing death wobble or vague steering feel.

A: No drilling or welding is required. This is a bolt-on installation using included hardware and existing factory mount points. Basic hand tools are all that’s needed.
