MetalCloak LJ Jeep Wrangler rear flare base plates are a mounting system for the MetalCloak rear flares; the plates provide additional strength to the sheet metal and provide the perfect template to enlarge the rear wheel well opening.

The base plates are the foundation for the quick-release rear flares (sold separately), allowing you to choose your desired tire coverage or remove the flare altogether for maximum tire clearance on the trail.
The rear mod-cut base plates fit cleanly and provide additional tire clearance by opening up the stock wheel well. The base plates integrate with the MetalCloak rocker rails, creating one solid unit of protection.

Note: The base plates may be run alone, but are most often paired with our MetalCloak quick-release rear flares that are available in 1½", 4", 6" or 8" widths.
