The Heavy-Duty Steering System for the TJ/LJ Wrangler is an inverted "T" style design that is a HUGE upgrade from any "Y" configured steering system. This is THE steering we have all been waiting for; fits XJ, MJ, and ZJ too!

Exclusive to MetalCloak, this tie rod comes with dual 1-ton forged and heat-treated 1" dog-leg rod ends that have strength and provide clearance for use with aftermarket wheels, allowing the best turning radius possible. MetalCloak dog-legged rod ends control tie rod flop, providing better performance. Ends are sealed with grease boots to keep debris out and lubrication in. The dog-legged tie rod can be adjusted while installed on the vehicle for fine-tuning.
The high-clearance bends of the strong 1.375" OD drag link tubing are engineered for up and down travel, providing the needed space for aftermarket axles and differential covers, and the tubing is coated with gold zinc chromate for a long-lasting finish. Factory-like fitment with OE taper pin and lock nut is found with the dual 1-ton forged and heat-treated rod ends; they have extra strength right where it is needed and are designed to control directional misalignment to prevent drag link flop. Sealed with durable rubber grease boots, the ends are simple to service via provided zerk fittings.
The assembly is easily adjusted while mounted on the vehicle for fine-tuning of axle placement.
The performance of this inverted "T" design steering system will dramatically improve both the ride and control of your Jeep.
Note: The steering system is NOT for use with stock wheels or offset.
