The Motobilt 6061-T6 Aluminum tail gate armor for the Jeep TJ / LJ not only looks great but protects your Jeep TJ or LJ’s tailgate. The Aluminum tail gate armor will completely cover your Jeep’s tailgate and give it a clean look. The tail gate armor is made from 3/16” thick 6061-T6 Aluminum that is laser cut in house at Motobilt.

While we do offer this tail gate armor in 3/16” steel, the 6061-T6 Aluminum provides protection while also being light weight. The 3/16” thickness is consistent with Motobilt body armor, so the aluminum tail gate armor will match up, creating a smooth, even look. The tailgate armor is shipped bare raw aluminum and may require some finishing work before being painted or powder coated.
