FOX PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.5 IFP HTO SHOCK, REAR (3.5-4IN LIFT)

Regular price

$346.95

FOX 2.5 Performance Series HTO is a bolt-on shock loaded with position-sensitive technology, vehicle-specific valving, and larger pistons to improve on and off-road performance. A type II anodized aluminum body efficiently dissipates heat and prevents corrosion. The 2.5-inch shock body features an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen, optimizing damping.

Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) technology offers usable position-sensitive rebound damping control on and off the pavement. HTO reduces harsh top-outs and increases comfort by forcing shock oil through a secondary shim stack to slow down shock shaft speed; HTO is particularly beneficial after installing heavier, aggressive tires and applications lifted higher than OEM specification.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q:  What does IFP mean in Fox shocks?

A: IFP stands for Internal Floating Piston, a shock design that prevents aeration by separating shock oil from nitrogen gas, ensuring consistent damping performance.

Q: How does this shock improve Jeep Gladiator rear suspension?

A: It provides improved ride quality, better handling, reduced body roll, and enhanced traction on- and off-road, especially with larger tires or added weight.

Q: Does this shock work with aftermarket lift kits?

A: Yes, it’s designed for Jeep Gladiators with 3.5 to 4 inch rear suspension lifts and works well with most aftermarket lift components.
